maca has a stimulating effect

As already mentioned, the Maca effect is so strong that people have long thought up recipes with it. In Peru, Maca is still consumed today by the indigenous population as a vegetable or even as a medicinal medicinal plant. Great importance is attached to its exorbitant nutritional value and its rejuvenating properties, which is why the plant is often eaten up to three times a day. To do this, the plant is baked, boiled, fried or heated until it is ashes, then dried and ground again. The indigenous peoples of the Andes even use the maca powder as flour for baking and cooking. In principle, maca powder is also simply stirred in hot water or milk, which results in a sweet drink with a cocoa-like undertone that is very similar to cocoa. Macabrei is also popular. To do this, maca powder is mixed with pureed fruits and honey. Here’s a traditional recipe for maca muffins that only take 10 to 12 minutes to make:

Ingredients:

Dry ingredients

60 g whole wheat flour

40 g spelled flour

30 g maca powder

100 g coconut blossom sugar

a little bit of salt

2 teaspoons of tartar baking powder

a bit of cayenne pepper if you like hot, of course

Wet ingredients

60 ml coconut oil

120 ml almond milk

120 ml warm water with 2 teaspoons chia seeds

3 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice

Grated peel of ½ untreated organic orange

1 mashed banana

Additionally, depending on your own taste: Approx. 5 – 10 tbsp coconut flakes, organic chocolate chips, walnut pieces or blueberries.

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease the muffin baking tin or line it with paper liners. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Gradually stir the wet ingredients one by one until a soft batter is formed. A stirrer set to the lowest setting can be used for this. Finally fold in one of the desired additives such as chocolate chips, coconut flakes, nut pieces, etc. You can also divide the batter into two or three parts and then put the chocolate chips in one part and the coconut flakes in the other. Divide the batter into the muffin tins and sprinkle a pinch of coconut blossom sugar and / or chia seeds on each muffin. Finally bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 180 degrees on the middle rack. The end result is really tasty and very healthy!

Maca effects in the fight against menopause

maca effect is essential

As already mentioned, Maca also has a strong effect on sexual aversion in women during or after the menopause – this was found by Australian researchers and experts in a randomized, placebo-controlled double-blind study. For 6 weeks, the scientists gave the participants 3.5 grams of maca powder a day. Then it turned out that Maca had in no way influenced the hormone levels of the women, but was able to alleviate the decisive psychological symptoms. Depression and anxiety, as well as symptoms of sexual dysfunction, were mostly coped with under the action of maca. Maca is considered a reliable partner for the above-mentioned women’s problems, because Maca does not allow the hormonal balance to be confused.
