Easter is the ideal time to let your imagination run wild and to beautifully decorate your home and garden. As already mentioned, making Easter decorations yourself is a really pleasant task that would give you a lot of fun and joy – even if you are not that skilled with the DIY projects. You can draw inspiration from this post – here we have collected some original craft ideas especially for you. Let’s start with making an Easter basket yourself – you could use it to decorate the festive table or the mantelpiece, for example. All you need is a woven basket, a disposable glass and beautiful spring flowers of your choice – tulips, hyacinths, snowdrops. Fill the basket with Easter grass (it’s also super easy to make your own from a sheet of green construction paper) and place the disposable glass in the middle. Fill this halfway with water and place the flowers in it. Complete! Maybe you could also use artificial flowers – so you get a wonderful decoration that you can use in the years to come. It is best to only attach the flowers to one side of the basket or around the handle so that the result does not look too kitschy. Instead of flowers, you could also put your Easter eggs in the basket – on Easter grass or on a soft cloth. If you are a little more skilled, you could also cover the basket with fabric: use old clothes or scraps of fabric for this purpose – preferably with flowers and other spring motifs.

The festive table at Easter is best decorated with flower arrangements. These are very easy to make yourself: tie the small bouquets of flowers with bows and place them in vases or glass bottles. You could opt for clear vases and put some lemon wedges in them – the result looks really original! The tablecloth or the cloth napkins (if you use them) can also be festively decorated – for example, you can cut out rabbit silhouettes from felt and simply sew the figures onto the serviettes. You could also cut out cute rabbits or chicks out of construction paper and use them to make fabulous garlands for the nursery. And if you want to make the little ones happy, make Easter bunnies together! The easiest way to do it is with paper (for example with a template that you have downloaded from the Internet), or with old socks – in this case, in addition to a few socks that you no longer wear, you will also need a needle and thread, scissors, Googly eyes or buttons for the eyes, as well as some cotton wool to fill the rabbit. This is how you get an original toy that is also a wonderful gift for toddlers. You can also decorate the mantelpiece or the coffee table in the living room with the self-made rabbits. The small figures, sewn from felt, are also a wonderful decoration for the entrance door, with which you can replace the traditional flower wreath. The fascinating craft ideas for Easter decorations are unfortunately too many to be included in one article. We hope, however, that we have inspired you to emulate some of our suggestions yourself!
